What is Bugs?
Bugs is a lightweight, open-source issue tracker for small teams, built on the Laravel 3 framework with PHP and MySQL. It supports tags, Markdown, comments, email notifications and user roles. Its repository has seen no activity since 2022, so it is best suited to internal use.
Project status: The GitHub repository (pixeline/bugs) is not marked archived, but its last commit and release activity is from 2022 (last commit November 2022), well beyond three years ago. We list it because it is still available in the Softaculous installer; consider an actively maintained alternative for new projects.

Bugs requirements
- PHP: PHP 7.4, 8.0 or 8.1 (PHP 7.3 and lower no longer supported)
- Database: MySQL 5 or higher
- PDO extension
- JavaScript enabled in the browser
- PHP rewrite module (Apache or IIS)
It needs PHP 7.4 to 8.1 with PDO, MySQL 5+ and URL rewriting, which cPanel hosting provides. The supported PHP range tops out at 8.1, so select PHP 8.1 or lower and treat it as unmaintained software.
