What is PaintbrushJS?
PaintbrushJS is a lightweight JavaScript library that processes images in the browser using the canvas element. Filters are applied through CSS classes and HTML attributes on img elements or CSS background images. It was created by Dave Shea. On Softaculous it installs as library files in your account for developers to use in their own sites.
Project status: The GitHub repository (mezzoblue/PaintbrushJS) shows its most recent commit in July 2011. The repository is not archived, but no updates in over 3 years. Its README states no open-source licence type; only a 2010 copyright notice for Dave Shea was seen. We list it because it is still available in the Softaculous installer; consider an actively maintained alternative for new projects.
