What is XOOPS?
XOOPS, short for eXtensible Object Oriented Portal System, is a modular content management system written in PHP that stores content in MySQL. It started as a portal system and has grown into a general CMS and framework, with themes, add-on modules and group-based permissions. The XOOPS Development Team maintains it under the GPL.

XOOPS requirements
- PHP: PHP 8.2 or newer for XOOPS 2.7.x; 8.4 or 8.5 recommended
- Database: MySQL 5.7.8+ or MariaDB 10.5+
- Apache 2.4+ or nginx
