What is Composr?
Composr is an open-source PHP content management system that bundles many features in the core, including news, galleries, forums, chat, downloads and member profiles, so fewer third-party plugins are needed. It was created by Chris Graham and is now developed as a community project under a new governance model.

Composr requirements
- PHP: Legacy docs list PHP 5.3 as the minimum and recommend a version that is not end-of-life; current docs on composr.app could not be retrieved
- Database: MySQL 5.5.3 or higher
- GD2 extension with PNG and JPEG support
- mysql, mysqli or pdo_mysql extension
- max_input_vars of at least 2000
- SMTP connectivity for email
